Frequently asked questions

Here you will find the most frequently asked questions. If your question is not there, please feel free to e-mail us.

What is the difference between concentrate and Rijp's 100% pure squeezed juice?

Rijp are fruit juices that have been squeezed directly from the fruit without further treatments. This means that no additives at all of ingredients (sugars, water) or other nutrients (vitamins or fibres) are added and the nutritional values equal that of the squeezed fruit.

In case of a concentrate the fruit is squeezed in the country of origin and the water is extracted. The remaining concentrate is frozen and shipped to the country of production. Upon arrival exactly the same amount of water, that was extracted earlier, is added.

Does Rijp contain additives?

No, Rijp stands for the best organic fruit that is naturally sweet and that does not have a single additive. That is to say no sugars, colouring agents, aromatic substances or flavourings and no preservatives. During growing no artificial fertilizer or chemical weed killers were used.

Is Rijp pasteurized?

Yes, Rijp is lightly pasteurized, whereby the product is heated briefly without damaging the product and the flavour is preserved. Pasteurization is a very simple treatment that is also known for milk, which is also a perishable product.

What does the EKO quality mark stand for?

The EKO quality mark stands for reliability and maximum certainty that the product is really organic. The EKO-quality mark means that the production meets Dutch national rules, i.e. it meets the EU-regulation for organic production and strict checking takes place. If a product states that it is organic then that is the case. The fact of the matter is that the word 'organic' is protected by law. For those who wish to know more: on the website www.eko-keurmerk.nl of SKAL, the inspection and certification organization, you will find information about the inspection and requirements that growing and processing have to meet.

Where is the fruit from?

At Fruity King we only use the best organic fruit that we get from, among other places, Lithuania, Greece, Italy and Germany where we have long-term relationships with fruit growers who do not use any weed killers.

What the squeezing process of Rijp like?

All Rijp's organic juices are made from top quality ingredients. The fruit is hand-picked and squeezed to delicious juice at its peak of ripeness. Organic production means fresh fruit, grown naturally without any use of synthetic products such as artificial fertilizer or chemical weed killers.

How long can Rijp be kept?

Rijp should be kept cool at a maximum of 7 degrees Celsius. After opening the packaging it can be kept for 5 days if it is cooled, however no longer than the indicated use-by date.

Where can you find Rijp?

Rijp is available in the refrigerated section of the following supermarkets; Coop, Deen, Jumbo, Bas van der Heijden, Digros, Dirk van der Broek and Super de Boer.
